I visited Memphis last week. Going to Memphis last weekend wasn’t my plan until about a week before I went because I was originally supposed to go to Japan with my church… but it didn’t work out. I had an amazing trip, nonetheless.
The best part about the trip to Memphis was being able to be there for my girlfriend’s graduation. She graduated with a master’s degree in Urban Education. She is doing the Memphis Teacher Residency, which is an amazing program full of amazing people. I’m so incredibly proud of Amanda. We’ve known each other for about 5 years and have only recently come to date. When we met, she was just a freshman, and I, a goofy junior. I have seen her grow so incredibly much and really blossom into an amazing woman of God. Seeing her take on the Memphis Teacher Residency and talking to her about it – her difficulties and joys – has all been such a blessing. I have so much respect for her. I am so very blessed that she has let me into her life.
Here is a visual recap.
